The rarest gift a stay can offer is quiet, and inland Istria holds it in the hour before the day begins.
At first light the loudest thing is the village bell, then a dog somewhere along the lane, then the long Istrian stillness itself. The house is yours entire for the week, every room and every terrace, generous enough that a full party of eight can each pass a whole morning in their own corner of it.
The salty infinity pool is warmed the year through and holds its heat into the cold months, so the first swim of the day is yours before breakfast, as easily in November as in July, the water still and steaming in the early cool.

There are 2,500 square metres of grounds to lose yourself in, deep shade at noon, a lounger set in the sun, a private turn of the garden kept for you alone. Guests arrive carrying a whole year and leave lighter for the leaving of it, and quiet, held steadily across a week, is the one thing the house was built above all to give.
Tell us how you like to wake and how a slow morning should feel, and it is ready and waiting, quietly, from the day you arrive.
Tell us a little about the week you have in mind, and we will reply personally, usually within 8 hours.
